Nothing was mentioned that Heinlein's book valued individual soldiers above all else with each soldier in an Iron Man-like super-suit attacking entire planets by themselves and leaping around nuking cities. This movie lamely has its super-soldiers standing in a circle shooting the lamest M16 looking guns while wearing completely useless armor. These awesome tactics of getting dropped into a meat-grinder while being completely surrounded, outnumbered, and hopelessly under-equipped are ridiculous and the opposite of what Heinlein was trying to say in the book. Without any modern equipment like guns larger than a rifle, tanks, helicopters, or any means of transportation, back-up, or even auxiliaries, the Starship Troopers would get crushed by Vietnam era soldiers. Seriously, these are the worst battle tactics ever put on film. Stand in a circle! Let the enemy surround us! Even World War I had cannons, troops took high ground, entrenched, fought in a defensive line - these clowns, nothing! Terrifyingly stupid.

This script really needs to get redone by someone who has read Heinlein's book.
