New Server
If you are reading this post, it means that the DNS alterations have propagated to your ISP and you’re now viewing this site from my new server. My old one was somewhat unreliable, and hopefully this new one will mean less downtime.
I’ve been meaning to upgrade Wordpress and move to the new server for a while, but I kept putting it off because upgrading Wordpress is a pain (I had to make a lot of hacks to the source code to make this site work correctly).
However, as a result of my recent front-page-status on reddit.com, kottke.org, waxy.org, and metafilter.com, the fact that I hadn’t upgraded Wordpress in a year finally bit me in the ass, resulting in some bizarre hack that allowed an attacker to stick male enhancement pill links into my posts and rss feeds. I could procrastinate no longer.
In any case, the boner pill links are gone now, my version of Wordpress is up to date, and you’re viewing the site from a brand new server.
Here’s the important bit: If you posted a comment recently and it doesn’t appear here, it means that you posted it after I backed up my database but before I finished the server move. It’s gone forever. Please repost it.

I’m with Phixius… although I thought post #3 was clever as hell. Methinks people are taking these forums a bit too seriously these days.
June 21st, 2008 at 10:21 pmThanks for the maintenance, Rod, and great jorb with all the recent scripts.
Make some new scripts that dont relie on you pointing out plot holes to make them funny. Mainly cause half the time there not really holes.
June 21st, 2008 at 11:00 pmI’ve noticed that too. At first I thought Rod just didn’t “get it”. That he didn’t understand what was going on in the movie, why certain things were happening, so he assumed it was just because the movie itself was poorly made as opposed to an oversight of his own. After a while, with this “ignorance” showing up in nearly every script, I figured he couldn’t possibly be so stupid as to miss the reasoning behind all these plot points he mocks. It’s all gotta be for the benefit of the jokes. I’m sure he’s perfectly aware that most of the “plot holes” he makes fun of are perfectly explainable and logical within the context of the film; they just make for great punchlines. Fair enough.
June 22nd, 2008 at 12:02 amSomething fails as a joke if there’s even one person who can’t tell it is one. If that’s the case, every other stupid comment would be considered witty.
June 22nd, 2008 at 8:40 amSo the world’s greatest comedian is a failure because one member of his audience is too stupid to get his jokes? That same stupid audience member suddenly becomes supremely witty by shouting out “you suck” to the world’s greatest comedian?
That’s dumb.
June 22nd, 2008 at 9:13 amI didn’t think you put enough effort into this script, Rod. I can see you’re not really into it.
Is it just me, or is this abridged script just feel a bit off? I thought it was a great film, by the way, not sure why you’re trying to make it out to be so stupid. Yer the stoopid one id say!
June 22nd, 2008 at 12:07 pmwoo! I caused controversy.
June 22nd, 2008 at 5:12 pmI thought you were funny, Eccel.
June 23rd, 2008 at 4:34 amIs this the script for Doomsday?
June 23rd, 2008 at 12:13 pmOK Can i vote to have the comments go the “right” direction? We read left-to-right-then-down, it’s so very against that logic to have to read down a comment to take it in, then have to scroll up to read the next chronological comment, but start at the top again and read down…
The old way was better: 1st comment first, last comment last, read and keep reading. bleh.
