You’re smothering me, mom.

SUSAN SARANDON

I only smother you because I love you.

NATALIE PORTMAN

I hate you.

(two hours later)

I have come to realize you only smother me because you love me. I love you, mom.

SUSAN SARANDON

I guess I’ll stop smothering you, then.
